Suggested reading: "British and American Festivities"

Third year

Hi kids!
well, well... I have decided to add a new tag to our blog and that is "suggested reading!"
The book I intend to recommend today is: British and American Festivities, by Gina D. B. Clemen, CIDEB, Green Apple.
If you are interested in learning more about British and American culture and traditions, this is the book for you!
It is a unique text that explores the origins of British and American festivities, their historical significance, and how people celebrate them today.
The book, which is accompanied by an audio CD, contains the text on Martin Luther King we read in class. In addition, it covers many other topics: Columbus Day, Halloween, Guy Fawkes Night, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, President's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, May Day, Independence Day, and Notting Hill Carnival.
